Auriel Blakey is an artist from Detroit, MI. She is a senior at Ball State University earning a BFA in Acting and a BA in French! Auriel is fascinated by French culture; she hopes to use her language skills to be able to communicate with a wide range of audiences. Auriel’s goal is to use her passion for performing, directing, and writing to create stories that share unheard voices and inspire social change.
Oh, la la! Who is she?
Auriel comes from a family of eight where she is the second to youngest of her five siblings. Needless to say, her childhood was filled with lots of fun and noise. She loves to travel and makes a point to try snacks from all of the new places she visits. She is a big fan of Disney Channel Original Movies, making collages, playing card games, taking the perfect photo for friends, and taking naps outside!
What's she been up to?
Auriel recently played Queen Anne in The Three Musketeers. In the spring of 2025, she studied abroad in Cannes, France and interned at the Immersive Competition at the Cannes Film Festival! Auriel is now a Global Engagement & Marketing (GEM) Intern with AIFS Abroad where she is able to spread her love for travel and education with other students. Auriel will be debuting her original one person show in the spring of 2026. She is excited to share her personal and creative story with the world!
